Please See Attached for our new publication titled WORKING SAFELY NEAR UNDERWATER PIPELINES. You can also download it from here: http://www.camogroup.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Working-Safely-Near-Underwater-Pipelines.pdf
This was funded by the US DOT – PHMSA (Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration). Through our non-profit partner, the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation (LPBF), we’ve received a second grant to turn our publication into a national interactive online training module this year. This interactive, online safety training is for all waterway users including personnel in marine construction, dredging, coastal restoration, pipeline companies, ports and emergency responders. In less than an hour, you can do some of the seven (7) training sections on your laptop, some on your phone, and finish it on your I-pad–however it fits into your life. Our published guide and the online training include both project-planning guidance and implementation practices:
· Tips for finding pipeline location information online, notifying 811 before your work begins, and how to engage the right people weeks and months ahead of your project’s start.
· A checklist for on-site safety meetings – with important tips in the case of an emergency – easily fits in your toolbox or onboard your vessel.
We invite you to sign up NOW for FREE training for the 1st 500 users for this national online training program as soon as it is completed in June — but you need to self-register now while spots are available. After the first 500, the training will continue to be available — but at a cost of only $5.00 for each new user.
